Observer Reporter
Well... My kids have been in the newspaper a few times. I cut it out and mail it to Grandparents. Morgan and I have made it into a few articles and even a magazine or two... but this time, it's me.
After I attended a book signing event at Barnes & Noble, I had the honor of being interviews for the Washington County Observer Reporter. To be honest, I kind of forgot all about it until I got a text saying, "You're in today's paper." Oh how fun is this! My little elderly friend cut it out and made copies to share with his friends. I got a few phone calls from friends saying, "I know someone famous!" and even a few text saying, "You're an author?" or "When did you write a book?"
Then one day, I was opening mail and saw this from the "House of representatives". At first, I thought it was something I forgot to do or pay. So I shoved in my work bag and decided to open it once my elderly friend went to sleep. I was shocked to find this and decided it was neat.
I love that this state rep (or someone in his office) not only noticed this small town local author but took the time to cut it out and mail it to me with a little card. Thank you for making me feel noticed.
