Lets learn about Morgan
A few hours with K-3rd graders.

WOW... I am so honored. Once I had Morgan's book in my hands, I wanted to see kids reaction to it. I figured the best way for me to do that, was a school setting. I reached out to the Elementary school my three kids attended and an Elementary school in the Santa Ynez Valley, to see if I can come read to a few classes. Yes, I was planning a trip to SYV and I was so excited to get my first principal approval.

As I prepared for this adventure, I wondered how I could show these kids how glorious Morgan is. (Since Morgan could not go with me) I packed her book and 100 stickers then I tried to figure out what visual I can use to show them her size. A bib seemed perfect. I will admit I was a little nervous about reading this book to the student's, I wasn't worried about messing up... I was worried that they wouldn't like it. I wouldn't hold their attention. I am so honored for the time I had with these student's today. I read Morgan's story to K-3rd grade and was so excited that it held their attention and each class had such amazing questions about Morgan. I even created a Morgan size visual with three students and of course, her bib was a huge hit.

The best part about todays read... When I was a senior in High school, I was part of a Regional Occupation Program. My high school had classes 1-3-5 one day then 2-4-6 the next. Classes and breaks were longer so select students were able to leave campus for a hands on career-class. I wanted to be a child psychologist and was so excited to qualify for the early education ROP. I was able to leave campus for my 3rd period class and teach Kindergarten... AT THIS SCHOOL. It was so amazing to walk back onto the campus. It had more classrooms and had grown for sure in the 30 years since I graduated. I am so honored to have this be the first school to learn about Morgan.

Note: Morgan and I might need to take a road trip... EVERYONE wants to meet this glorious Newfie! "Morgan: The Goofy Therapy Newfie" is available at Barnes & Noble.com. Of course, if you want an autographed copy, I have Hardback and paperback copies for sale.
