Blessed in California

Last week, I was able to fly into beautiful sunny California. The ocean was stunning and weather for this Pittsburgh girl, was glorious. I flew into Santa Barbara airport and went straight to the Ventura Barnes & Noble, where they had four "Unwanted" books waiting for me to sign. I had a good time looking around the biggest Barnes & Noble I have ever been in.

The next day, I stopped in at the only book store in the Santa Ynez Valley, the Book Loft located in Solvang. I have to admit that the Book Loft and Santa Ynez feed mill is where I spent my paychecks during high school. Surprised right? Dog food, horse treats and books. What more does high-school-Sarah need?

While signing a few copies of "Unwanted", I stumbled into a dear "friend" Sharon. Oh what a blessing! You see, Sharon worked at Santa Ynez Valley High school in the office and was such a positive force for me. I haven't seen her since the day I graduated high school, in 1995. We decided to sit down and have lunch together, it was such a honor to reconnect with her. Sharon, is such a glorious soul.

I posted the Book Loft book signing on Facebook and surprise again, got a message from an old high school friend, Brooke. We found each other on Facebook a few years ago but we have not seen each other since we graduated high school. We both have moved away but just happen to be home. What luck! I had the huge honor of meeting Brooke, her husband and Mom for breakfast the next morning. It was amazing to see her mom and meet her husband. I loved reconnecting with my kind friend.

My final book signing for this trip, was at a huge Barnes & Noble in the beautiful little town of San Luis Obispo. I took a hour to walk around the town and looking around before heading back to SYV.

It is amazing to me that during this book signing trip, God put two people back in my life that meant so very much to me. I can't wait to see where this book adventure takes me next.
